Analisis Penilaian Iklim Keselamatan Penyelia dalam Sistem Pengurusan Pengangkutan Rel Bandar (Assessment Analysis Of Supervisor Safety Climate In City Rail Transport Management System)

Abstract


Sesebuah organisasi bertanggungjawab dalam mengurangkan risiko insiden dan kemalangaan maut di kalangan pekerja. Peranan figura penyelia turut memainkan peranan penting dalam mencapai matlamat keselamatan organisasi. Justeru, kajian dilaksanakan bagi menganalisis tahap penilaian iklim keselamatan pekerja terhadap penyelia. Kajian melibatkan kaedah kuantitatif menggunakan borang soal selidik. Seramai 441 responden di kalangan pekerja bahagian operasi dan bahagian penyelenggaraan organisasi pengangkutan rel bandar terlibat dalam kajian ini. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa tahap penilaian iklim keselamatan penyelia adalah berada di tahap sederhana. Dimensi kompetensi dan dimensi reaksi terhadap tingkah laku pekerja mempunyai tahap penilaian tertinggi berskor tinggi (min = 3.69 dan min = 3.71) berbanding dua lagi dimensi iaitu kepimpinan dan dimensi usaha ke arah peningkatan keselamatan pekerja, masing- masing (min = 3.57, min = 3.62). Kajian juga mendapati, terdapat perbezaan secara signifikan di antara pekerja di bahagian operasi dan pekerja di bahagian penyelenggaraan bagi penilaian tahap iklim keselamatan penyelia. Perkara ini merupakan cabaran kepada organisasi, kerana penyelia seharusnya menjadi contoh terbaik buat pekerja sesuai dengan peranan penyelia sebagai pengantara di antara pihak atasan dengan pekerja. Hasil kajian perlu dijadikan sebagai rujukan kepada organisasi dalam meningkatkan intergriti dan komitmen penyelia dalam meningkatkan tahap keselamatan dan kesihatan organisasi khasnya bagi organisasi pengendali sistem pengurusan pengangkutan rel bandar.
