Abstract

For the reason of the importance of remembering the country’s colonialisation during the Portuguese, Dutch, and British, several locations in Malaysia have been approved by UNESCO as the World Heritage List. Using the concept of archaeo-tourism, this article provides several attractions and activities of tourism in Malaysia to be implemented. Hence, the act of promotion is vital to achieve the objective of commercialization of the World Heritage sites in Malaysia. Many parties have to play their roles to attract foreign tourists and local ones as well to the World Heritage sites in Malaysia. The role is not only limited to The Ministry of Communication, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, in fact, it should be carried by the NGOs and tourism agencies. For instance, the hotels and tour guide company, Department of Museums, and others that are involved in the tourism economy sector.
