Kesan Kemahiran Digital Terhadap Penggunaan Media OTT Penyiaran Awam Malaysia
Abstract
Penyiaran awam di Malaysia yang dikenali sebagai RTM atau Radio Televisyen Malaysia, adalah agensi penyiaran yang tertua dengan usia 78 tahun dan seterusnya ianya berdepan dengan saingan stesen swasta dari segi kandungan dan teknologi. Perkhidmatan OTT (over the top) global pula telah memasuki pasaran Malaysia sejak 2016 dan RTM harus memastikan perkhidmatan penyiaran awam kekal relevan. Pewujudan OTT RTMKlik sebagai saluran penyiaran ketiga RTM adalah bagi memenuhi keperluan penonton yang semakin celik digital. Untuk itu, kajian ini menggunakan Teori Jurang Digitalisasi bagi melihat pengaruh kemahiran digital terhadap penggunaan media OTT RTMKlik. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti profil penonton RTMKlik dengan membandingkan kemahiran digital berdasarkan faktor demografi seperti jantina, umur, tahap pendidikan serta melihat hubungan antara penggunaan media OTT RTMKlik. Data dikumpulkan melalui kaji selidik menggunakan gabungan persampelan rawak mudah dan seramai 571 responden di seluruh Malaysia telah menyertai kajian ini. Analisis ini bersifat deskriptif dengan melihat trend penggunaan RTMKlik. Seterusnya, kajian ini menghuraikan data secara deskriptif menggunakan SPSS versi 28. Ia juga menggunakan ujian T sehala dan ANOVA untuk menganalisis empat hipotesis yang dibentuk berdasarkan teori dan ulasan kesusasteraan. Hasil kajian ini mendedahkan bahawa tahap pendidikan memberi perbezaan yang signifikan terhadap kemahiran digital pengguna RTMKlik dan hubungan kemahiran digital dengan penggunaan digital yang dikaji mencapai tahap signifikan yang sederhana.
