ABSTRAK

Kajian ini mengenal pasti peranan tekanan kerja sebagai penyederhana dalam hubungan antara sokongan organisasi dengan hasrat untuk kekal dalam kalangan pekerja profesional teknologi maklumat. Bagi mencapai objektif ini, sebanyak 832 soal selidik telah dihantar menerusi pos kepada wakil organisasi yang telah bersetuju untuk terlibat dalam kajian ini. Daripada 220 soal selidik yang telah diterima semula, hanya 178 soal selidik boleh digunakan untuk analisis selanjutnya dan ini menghasilkan kadar maklum balas sebanyak 21.39 peratus. Hipotesis bagi kesan interaksi diuji menggunakan analisis regresi berganda bertingkat. Keputusannya menunjukkan bahawa tekanan kerja berperanan sebagai penyederhana dalam hubungan antara persepsi terhadap sokongan organisasi dengan hasrat untuk kekal. Implikasi dapatan kajian, limitasi kajian, dan cadangan bagi kajian susulan dibincangkan di akhir kajian ini.

ABSTRACT

This study investigates the moderating role of job stress in the relationship between organization support and intention to stay among information technology professional workers. To achieve this objective, a total of 832 questionnaires are mailed to the representatives of organizations that have agreed to participate in this study. From 220 questionnaires that are returned, only 178 are usable for further analysis to produce a response rate of 21.39 percent. The hypothesis on the moderating or interaction effect is tested using hierarchical multiple regressions. The results show that job stress moderates the relationship between perceived organization support and intention to stay. Implications of the findings, potential limitations, and directions for future research are discussed at the end the paper.
