Penglibatan dalam Rangkaian Organnisasi: Pemimpin dan Bukan Pemimpin

Nordin Muhamad

This study explores the relationship between organisational leadership and the organisation's environment, specifically whether influential or important organisational positions tend to be held by those who also hold influential or
important positions in several other organisations (four or more). Secondly, this study also investigates whether, in contrast, less important positions tend to be held by those who are involve1 in just a few other organisations (one
to three). The third aspect examined is whether the degree of involvement of organisational leaders in any other specific organisations tends to be higher than that of less important positions. All three hypotheses are supported by
the research findings. These findings lend further support to previous research which found that leaders derive their bases of influence from their positions in the organisational networks.
