Trend Emoji dalam Komunikasi Digital: Sorotan Literatur Bersistematik

Abstract


Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti sorotan kajian emoji dalam komunikasi digital. Hal ini demikian kerana, peningkatan penggunaan emoji yang kini telah menjadi sebahagian daripada sistem operasi mudah alih di seluruh negara telah menarik perhatian ramai pengkaji untuk mendalami subjek kajian ini. Di Malaysia, terdapat sejumlah kajian lepas yang memilih emoji sebagai subjek perbincangan mereka. Sehubungan itu, artikel ini telah melakukan tinjauan literatur bersistematik terhadap trend kajian emoji dan trend kerangka teori atau pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kalangan pengkaji di Malaysia. Sumber data yang diperoleh adalah melalui carian secara sistematik berkaitan kajian emoji dalam dua pangkalan data yang terlibat iaitu google scholar dan scopus dari tahun 2017 hingga tahun 2021. Dapatan melalui hasil penelitian dalam artikel ini menunjukkan bahawa trend kajian emoji lebih tertumpu kepada dua pengkategorian sub-tema iaitu kajian fungsi penggunaan emoji dan tafsiran terhadap emoji. Dari sudut kerangka teori pula, didapati bahawa emoji boleh dibincangkan dalam pelbagai jenis kerangka dan antaranya mengaplikasikan teori lakuan tutur, teori 8-function taxonomy of emoji, teori Fuzzy Clustering, teori simulasi, teori semantik dan teori komunikasi. Di samping itu, pendekatan kualitatif antara kerangka yang paling banyak digunakan oleh pengkaji dalam menjalankan kajian terhadap emoji yang melibatkan kajian temu bual, soal selidik dan pemerhatian. Oleh itu, melalui hasil dapatan dalam artikel ini mampu menyumbangkan pengetahuan yang sedia ada tentang korpus ilmu berkaitan emoji dan menyumbang idea baharu kepada pengkaji-pengkaji untuk menghasilkan kajian pada masa hadapan.
