Abstract

Teachers play important role to influence the society’s well-being especially towards the students and parents. However, previous researches about the Malaysian society’s well-being is rarely focussing on teachers’ service quality, although it should be investigated because normally Malaysians  spend 11 years in school from 7 to 17 years old. In addition, previous studies find that some independent variables including transformational leadership style, training effectiveness and quality of work life affect the employees’ service quality. Hence, a study was conducted to determine the influence of these independent variables on service quality among 86 teachers in secondary schools in Kelantan, Malaysia. Research findings showed that all variables predicted about 10.7% variance in teachers’ service quality; additionally, all variables were at medium level. Further, only quality of work life had significant influence towards service quality; meanwhile, transformational leadership and training effectiveness only had significant relationship but did not significantly influence service quality.
