MENGUKUR KESEJAHTERAAN KOMUNITI LOKAL: KAJIAN KES HASIL TANGUNGJAWAB SOSIAL KORPORAT PERLOMBONGAN DAN KILANG NIKEL DI INDONESIA (Measuring of Local Community Well-Being: A Case Study of Benefits of Corporate Social Responsibility of Nickel Mining and Industry In Indonesia)

Abstract


Sektor perlombongan dan kilang nikel di Sulawesi Tenggara Indonesia merupakan sumber alam yang dapat memberikan manfaat terhadap kesejahteraan komuniti atau community well-being (CWB). Tanggungjawab sosial korporat atau corporate social responsibility (CSR) daripada aktiviti perlombongan oleh syarikat perlu memenuhi cabaran pihak yang berkepentingan dan perubahan-perubahan pembangunan sosial, ekonomi dan persekitaran. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti dimensi kesejahteraan komuniti tempatan setelah mengaplikasikan program CSR. Pemboleh ubah CWB yang diukur adalah sosial, pemerkasaan ekonomi dan persekitaran. Kajian melibatkan 490 orang responden dalam komuniti tempatan, menggunakan borang soal selidik dan data dianalisis menggunakan kaedah Statistical Package for the social science (SPSS.22). Dapatan kajian mendapati bahawa secara umum amalan CSR yang telah dijalankan memberikan manfaat atau menyokong dimensi kesejahteraan komuniti. Walau bagaimanapun, dimensi pendidikan dan infrastruktur memiliki kesan kategori sederhana daripada amalan program CSR. Implikasi kajian ini mencadangkan pihak syarikat dapat meningkatkan perhatian dan membuat perencanaan tindakan ekonomi dan lingkungan bagi mendukung kesejahteraan komuniti secara lestari.

(Measuring of Local Community Well-Being: A Case Study of Benefits of Corporate Social Responsibility of Nickel Mining and Industry In Indonesia)

The mining and nickel industry sector in Indonesia is a potential natural resource that can give benefit on the community well-being (CWB). Corporate social responsibility (CSR) from mining activities by companies should address the challenges of stakeholders and social, economic and environmental development changes. The paper aims to identify the dimensions of the community's well-being after receiving CSR program practices. CWB Dimensions are social, economic empowerment and environment. The study involved a total of 490 respondents in the local community, using questionnaires and data analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS.22) method. The findings of the study found that in general CSR practices were conducted in relation to the community's dimensions of wellbeing. The dimensions of economic and environmental have medium level impact from the practice of CSR programs. the implications in this study recommend that it is still crucial for the company to increase attention and make economic and environmental action planning in an integrated comunity welfare.
