Hubungan Kompetensi Keusahawanan, Orientasi Keusahawanan Individu dan Prestasi Perniagaan Belia

Abstract


Kompetensi Keusahawanan (KK) dan Orientasi Keusahawanan Individu (OKI) mempunyai peranan penting dalam meningkatkan prestasi perniagaan. Tahap KK dan OKI yang lemah akan menyebabkan sistem pengurusan dan prestasi perniagaan yang lemah. Objektif kajian ini adalah mengukur tahap kompetensi keusahawanan (KK) dan tahap orientasi keusahawanan individu (OKI) dalam kalangan para usahawan belia yang mengendalikan perniagaan kecil dan juga menganalisis hubungan antara KK dan OKI dengan prestasi perniagaan. Soal selidik telah digunakan sebagai instrumen mengukur pembolehubah kajian. Prosedur persampelan berkelompok telah digunakan iaitu melibatkan kelompok usahawan belia daripada Kumpulan Bazar Johor dalam platform Telegram seramai 282 orang. Teknik analisis inferens yang digunakan bagi menganalisa hubungan antara kompetensi keusahawanan (KK), Orientasi Keusahawanan Individu (OKI) terhadap prestasi perniagaan kecil ialah analisis korelasi Spearman dan regresi berganda dengan bootstrapping. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan secara keseluruhan usahawan belia mempunyai tahap kompetensi keusahawanan (KK) dan tahap orientasi keusahawanan individu (OKI) yang tinggi. Berdasarkan analisis inferens pula, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara KK dan OKI dengan prestasi perniagaan. Hasil dapatan membuktikan KK dan OKI mempunyai hubungan positif yang signifikan mempengaruhi prestasi perniagaan kecil milik usahawan belia. Implikasi penemuan ialah modul bagi meningkatkan kompetensi keusahawanan dan orientasi keusahawanan perlu diterapkan secara berterusan bagi meningkatkan potensi perniagaan usahawan belia ke tahap lebih tinggi.

Abstract: Entrepreneurial Competencies (KK) and Individual Entrepreneurial Orientation (OKI) have important roles in improving the business performance. A weak level of KK and OKI will lead towards poor business management systems and performance. The objective of this study are to measure the level of entrepreneurial competencies (KK) and individual entrepreneurial orientation (OKI) among young entrepreneurs who operate small businesses and also to analyze the relationship between KK and OKI with business performance. Questionnaire has been used as aninstrument to measure the research variables. Cluster sampling procedure is used involving youth entrepreneurs cluster from the Kumpulan Bazar Johor on the Telegram platform consisting of 282 individuals. The study sample consisted of 257 young entrepreneurs of the Kumpulan Bazar Online Johor on the Telegram aplication platform. The inferential analysis technique used to analyze the relationship between KK, OKI and small business performance are Spearman correlation and multiple regression with bootsrapping. The study findings show that genenrally the young entrepreneurs possess a high level of entrepreneurial competencies (KK) and individual entrepreneurial orientation (OKI). Based on the inferential analysis, there is a significant relationship between KK and business performance and OKI and business performance. The results proved KK and OKI have significant positive relationships that influenced the small business performance owned by youth entrepreneurs. Implications from the finding is that a module to increase entrepreneurial competencies and entrepreneurial orientation must be continuously integrated to spur youth business potential to higher level.
