Pengaruh Motivasi Hedonik, Nilai Harga Dan Tabiat Menggunakan E-Pembelajaran Terhadap Kepuasan Kerja Kakitangan Akademik di Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Awam (IPTA) di Sabah (Influence of Hedonic motivation, price value and e-learning habits towards academicians' job satisfaction in Sabah Public Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs))
Abstract
Abstract: This study intended to identify the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model in understanding academician’s adoption to e-learning and the relationship with job satisfaction. E-learning refers to the use of electronic media, digital technology tools such as laptop, smart phone, and interactive TV in teaching and learning process. The development of technology and digitalization in education has encouraged the use of e-learning in universities. However, not all academic staff can accept e-learning. This is because some of them prefer traditional methods or face-to-face learning. To test the hypothesized model, data were collected from 200 academic staff at Sabah Public Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs)) using questionnaire. The simple random sampling was used to collect data via Google Forms and email to targeted respondents. The collected data were analysed using the descriptive and simple regression analysis. As hypothesized, the results of the study showed that hedonic motivation were significant and influences of academician’s adoption to e-learning and job satisfaction. However, habit in e-learning usage and price value were not significant to job satisfaction. The findings of this study have an impact on the UTAUT theory in the context of Sabah. Meanwhile, from a practical aspect, it shows that organizations need to provide organizational support regarding technology adoption, such as conducting training and sharing information related to e-learning.
