Abstract

Abstract: Entrepreneurial competence is a crucial element in producing graduates who are competitive, adaptive and capable of meeting the increasingly dynamic and challenging demands of the labour market. Accordingly, this study aims to measure the level of entrepreneurial competence among university students by focusing on three core skills, namely management, leadership and problem-solving skills. This study adopts a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional survey design. A total of 418 university students were selected as respondents. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analysed descriptively using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The findings indicate that the majority of students demonstrate moderate to high levels of management, leadership and problem-solving skills, reflecting strong potential for the development of entrepreneurial competence. The implications of this study highlight the need for higher education institutions to strengthen the development of core entrepreneurial skills through experiential learning approaches such as project-based learning, business simulations and industry engagement. In terms of contribution, this study provides empirical evidence on the entrepreneurial competence profile of university students which can serve as a reference for curriculum enhancement the design of entrepreneurial interventions and the formulation of more holistic and entrepreneurship-oriented graduate development strategies.
