Abstract

Abstract: The application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in education research has become a particularly significant topic of debate to enhance the quality of teaching and learning, particularly in the context of learning the Malay language. This study employs qualitative methods to investigate the entrepreneurial intention of Malaysian International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) students enrolled in the Bahasa Melayu Kerjaya Perniagaan. NVivo 14, an artificial intelligence technology, has been used to quantify entrepreneurial intention. I chose nine students as informants. The study employed four themes, namely motivation, networking, influence of mother language, and entrepreneurial intention, to identify the components of entrepreneurial intention in Malaysian students. The aim was to equip them for future careers in entrepreneurship. The findings from interviews with nine participants indicate that the four themes have a constructive and substantial impact on entrepreneurial intention. The motivation theme is more pronounced among male participants compared to female participants. Networking themes exert a more pronounced impact on female participants than male participants. The mediator factor of the mother language more significantly influences female participants than male participants. However, female informants exhibit a greater propensity for entrepreneurial intention. Finally, this study is vital for determining the entrepreneurial intention among Malaysian students at IIUM to pursue entrepreneurial careers and enhance their economy to support the country's entrepreneurship policy.
