Kecenderungan Otak dan Hubungannya dengan Pencapaian dan Motivasi Pelajar (The Brain Tendencies and Their Relationships with Students Achievement and Motivation)

Abstract


This survey study was conducted to investigate the brain tendencies between male and female rural schools’ students and their relationships with physics achievement and motivation to learn physics. Research sample consisted of form 5 students in a rural district in Perak. Brain Hemisphere Dominance Questionnaire, Final Year Achievement Form 4 Test and Motivated Strategies Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) were used to collect the required data. Results obtained showed that (1) there is no difference in the right brain tendency between male and female students,  (2) there is no difference in the left brain tendency between male and female students, (3) there is no correlation between students’ right brain tendency or left brain tendency  with their physics achievement and (4) there is no correlation between students’ right brain tendency or left brain tendency with their motivation to learn physics.
