Peer Review Process

Manuscripts are subjected to a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on their appropriateness for the journal, significance of contribution to the discipline, cogency of analysis, conceptual breadth and clarity of presentation. Decisions regarding the publication of a manuscript are based on the reviewers’ recommendations. Manuscripts submitted by members of the editorial board are subjected to the same review process.

  • Manuscript Submission: Authors submit their research articles to the journal. The Editor-in-Chief then assigns the manuscript to the Managing Editor for further processing.

  • Manuscript Editorial Screening: The Managing Editor and editorial team conduct an initial review of the manuscript. A plagiarism is conducted via Turnitin for each submission. The manuscript may be accepted, rejected, or proceed to peer review.

  • Manuscript Reviewing Process: The Managing Editor selects at least two subject-matter experts to conduct a double-blind peer review. Both the authors' and reviewers' identities are kept anonymous. Reviewers complete an evaluation form provided by the journal.

  • Notification of Manuscript Decision: Based on reviewer's feedback, the Editor-in-Chief notifies the author of the manuscript's acceptance, required revisions, resubmission or rejection. The anonymity of reviewer is maintained.

  • Manuscript Revisions: If revisions are needed, the author revises the manuscript in response to reviewer's comments by submitting an Author's Response Form detailing the changes made and revised manuscripts (clean and track-changes copy).

  • Manuscript Resubmission: The revised manuscript is resubmitted following the same process as the initial submission.

  • Notification of Acceptance: If the reviewer is satisfied with the revisions, the Editor-in-Chief notifies the author of the manuscript’s acceptance for publication.

  • Galley Proof and Publication: The accepted manuscript undergoes formatting, copyediting, and proofreading before being published either in print or online.
