Focus and Scope

Jurnal Undang-undang dan Masyarakat (JUUM) (ISSN 1394-7729) is a Malaysian Journal of Law and Society published twice a year in April and September by UKM Press. The journal emphasises on formation and application of law to the masses in Malaysia, South East Asia and other regions in the world. JUUM strives to provide an additional platform for intellectual discourse, publication of research findings and theoretical debates on issues from a range of legal traditions. JUUM is an invaluable resource for readers interested in cutting-edge analysis of current legal issues.

JUUM is committed to publishing innovative research focusing on law including Syariah.

Peer Review Process

JUUM will adopt a double blind peer review process. The manuscript will be evaluated based on its appropriateness for JUUM, contribution to the discipline, cogency of analysis, conceptual breadth and clarity of presentation. Decisions regarding the publication of a manuscript will be based on the reviewers’ recommendations. Manuscripts submitted by members of the editorial board are subjected to the same review process.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
