TINGKAH LAKU ORGANISASI MENURUT PERSPEKTIF ISLAM: KAJIAN TERHADAP IKLIM ETIKA, KEPIMPINAN BERETIKA DAN TINGKAH LAKU POSITIF (Organizational Behavioural from Islamic Perspective: Study on Ethical Climate, Ethical Leadership and Positive Behavior)
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Kepimpinan beretika dan tingkah laku positif dalam tingkah laku organisasi penting untuk diamalkan dalam konteks pengurusan organisasi moden hari ini. Namun, perlaksanaannya di organisasi awam atau swasta didapati kurang mencapai objektifnya berikutan meningkatnya jumlah salah laku atau pelanggaran tata kelola organisasi. Oleh itu, kepimpinan beretika dan tingkah laku positif organisasi harus dibantu dengan iklim etika. Maka kertas konsep ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan satu model teori kepimpinan beretika dan tingkah laku positif, serta iklim etika sebagai mediatornya dalam pengurusan tingkah laku organisasi. Model ini telah diolah dan dihuraikan dengan merujuk kepada Teori Pembelajaran Sosial oleh Bandura, dan juga Teori Pengurusan Organisasi oleh al-Ghazali. Melalui metodologi analisis kandungan kajian-kajian lepas berkaitan dengan iklim etika, kepimpinan beretika dan tingkah laku positif, kajian mendapati bahawa amalan iklim etika terhadap kepimpinan beretika dan tingkah laku positif ini melahirkan impak yang positif terhadap organisasi. Artikel ini diharapkan akan menyumbang kepada kualiti pembangunan organisasi kepada badan pengamal, atau juga kepada disiplin ilmu pengetahuan.
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this concept paper was to present a model of integration of primaeval Islamic and Western behavioural organisational leadership theories. The variable investigated pertained to the ethical climate, which served as a mediating variable between leadership ethics and positive behaviour. As a guide, this idea has referenced Western theories, specifically the Social Learning Theory and the Organisational Citizenship Behaviour Theory. In addition, the Islamic theories have assimilated some leadership qualities of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the leadership theories propounded by al Ghazali. This concept expounded upon the variable constructs of leadership ethics, including honesty, integrity, and reliability. The ethical climate was a mediating variable that served as the primary construct of writing, whereas the positive behaviour variables comprised the constructs of civic virtue and job satisfaction. The study found that the integration of Islamic theories has rendered Western organisational leadership theories more pertinent and congruous with fundamental human values. Furthermore, ethical climate variables played a significant role in shaping organisational leadership ethics in terms of fostering positive behaviour among employees.
